East Lodge Farm became an Approved Official Pony Club Centre in 2006. This is great news for anyone aged between 4 to 21yrs old. We like to recommend that children learning to ride at ELF join the Pony Club, offering the opportunity to learn all aspects of horse care, management and riding through a structured programme achieving recognised Pony Club Awards. This initiative gives all horse mad youngsters all of the benefits that this great club offers and you don't even need to own your own pony!
Pony Club Rallies are held once a month on Friday afternoons in which tests are taken and achievement badges are awarded. In addition to this, in every school holiday there are Day Rallies held which incorporate the above plus lots of riding and horse care.
All of this for just over £20 a year membership!
In the summer holidays we hold the Pony Club Riding Holidays and the Pony Club Camp. These events always prove to be very popular and lots of fun!
Equipment Needed For The Pony Club
All Pony Club Members need to have:
A basic Grooming Kit – can be purchased through East Lodge.
A current standard Riding Hat.
We recommend a Body Protector, though not compulsory.
Gloves and Stick.
Pony Club Uniform – can be purchased through East Lodge.
