The Riding School

We offer riding tuition for all abilities from beginner to intermediate, from 4yrs upwards.
If you have never ridden before or you're an adult who rode as a child and is longing to give it another go, we would be delighted to see you. Perhaps you're an experienced rider who wishes to progress, maybe take some tests and recognised exams.

We are very child friendly and offer constructive, progressive and fun lessons. The children are encourged to join The Pony Club which ensures steady progression and a sure way to make lots of friends. Whatever your reason for joining us you are sure to receive a warm welcome by our friendly team of Instructors.

Rebecca White

The Yard Manager is Rebecca White who is a registered ABRS Instructor and NVQ assessor. She heads a happy and dedicated team of staff who are either fully qualified with the BHS or ABRS/NVQ or are training towards these exams as a career student. All of the Instructors have to obtain the necessary safety assessments, training and experience before building a client base themselves.

  • When you make your FIRST BOOKING we will need to know:
    Your name
    Date of Birth
    Contact details
    Height
    Weight
    Previous experience

Please arrive 10 mins earlier to fill in a rider detail form and to sort out hats and equipment if needed. Don’t worry if you haven’t got the right gear (you can hire hats and boots). Sensible footwear (NOT TRAINERS) and casual trousers are better than tight jeans.

We offer riding 6 days a week from Tuesday - Sunday. The group lessons are at regular times and are graded to ability. Please click on the Group Summary section for details of these groups and our schedules.

The school offers a range of extra riding activities such as jumping and dressage shows, holiday courses, camps and much more! Please click on the Forthcoming Events section for details.
