D.O.B. 2002
Edee is one of our newcommers to East lodge Farm and is proving to be quite a popular pony for the children as well as the adults! Edee is a well schooled mare but is 'still a little green' with her canter, due to her age but is progressing extremely well all-round.

Wolfie

D.O.B. 1995
Wolfie was new to East Lodge Farm in the autumn of 2007. He is proving worth his weight in gold! He is able to teach all riders of all levels and sizes! He is great for beginners and is very light on his feet so will surprise you over a course of jumps. His canter is so steady so don’t be put off by his size. He also loves his hacking as he has done a lot of Hunting in his past. Wolfie likes to be out in the field as much as possible! Wolfie is surprisingly sensitive for such a big horse. Be soft with your hands to get the best out of him.
Tack: Snaffle Bridle with running martingale.
General Purpose Saddle. Thick Sheepskin or Polypad numnah. |

Blue
16hh Blue Roan Gelding
D.O.B. 1999
Blue was bought from Exmoor as a three year old and was Rebecca’s horse in his early times at East Lodge Farm. He has done lots of hunting and endurance work. He is 100% in all ways and is a real gentleman. Blue can give a cheeky screech when going into canter or a jump but that is because he is enjoying himself! He is safe enough for anyone to learn on but make sure you do not pull him in the mouth as he is very sensitive. When tacking up, make sure you fasten the girth very gradually, or he may nip you as he is sensitive here also.
Tack:
Snaffle Bridle with hunting breastplate and running martingale.
General Purpose Wintec Saddle. Thick Sheepskin or Polypad numnah. Sheepskin girth sleeve. Boots all round for competition or clinics.

Bertie
14hh Chestnut Cob Gelding
D.O.B. 2001
Bertie was born at East Lodge Farm. His dam, Storm, was a fabulous jumping pony here at East Lodge, and Bertie follows in her footsteps by being a super all-rounder with a love for Cross Country and Hacking. Bertie is easy-going but does not like to be overcrowded, when he can be a little head-shy.

 |
Chesney
14.1hh Grey Cob Gelding
D.O.B. 1998
Chesney is a great all-rounder and a real character. Probably not everyone’s first choice of mount, but only because he will make you use your legs! He is surprisingly sensitive so make sure you sit still and don’t flap and he will show you how talented he is. His canter is nice and steady in the school but Chesney can really move when he is enjoying himself doing Cross Country or out on a hack.
Tack:

General Purpose Wintec Saddle. |

Mooney
16.1hh Chestnut Thoroughbred Mare
D.O.B. 1984
Mooney is an incredibly talented horse. She excels in all disciplines. She is steady enough to teach novice riders but can really perform with an advanced rider. She works well on the lunge too for those all-important lunge lessons! She loves to jump but doesn’t always like the stop-start routine of a group lesson when she can get a bit excited! Mooney thinks there is nothing to learn about jumping that she doesn’t already know! Mooney’s Dressage is also of a high level, but sometimes it can take some convincing that she really wants to do it! Watch how she always stands ‘square’. Mooney is incredibly sensitive in her ways and does not like to be overcrowded. Tighten her girth gradually or you may get to see Mooney’s teeth as she pulls faces at you, and watch out for her back legs too! Mooney does not respond well to heavy-handed riders. She is sensitive in the mouth. She also has a weight limit of 12 stone.
Tack:
Snaffle Bridle with running martingale. General Purpose/Dressage Saddle. Thick Sheepskin or Polypad numnah. Sheepskin girth sleeve. Boots all round for competition or clinics. |

Trucker has been at East Lodge Farm since he was 6 months old. He has grown up over the past 4 years into a very big boy. He is turning into a gentle giant so don’t be put off by his size. Patience is needed as he is still learning so you need to be clear with your aids, but he will give every thing you ask him to do a go!
Tack:
Snaffle Bridle with martingale. General Purpose Saddle. |
 |
Rainbow
13.3hh Strawberry Roan Gelding
D.O.B. 1999
Rainbow is a good all-rounder. A very clever pony that particularly loves hacking and Show Jumping, hence always popular at our Show Jumping competitions because he guarantees the ribbons! Rainbow can be sensitive when having his girth tightened so make sure you do it gradually or you may get nipped! Rainbow may need grass reins with smaller riders but these must be fitted with care and not worn for long periods of time.
Tack:
Snaffle Bridle. Gag for cross country.
General Purpose Saddle.

Brendan
16hh Piebald Cob Gelding
D.O.B. 2002
Believe it or not, Brendan is actually Amber’s son! Amber was rescued from a sale by Mrs White when she had Brendan as a tiny foal at foot. The sale wanted to separate the mare and foal to sell them separately, but Mrs White believing that the foal was too young to be separated from his mother bought both of them to keep them together for a bit longer, giving Brendan a better start in life! A few months later Amber gave birth to Aura – but that’s another story! Amber came to work in the riding school and Brendan was allowed to grow up with the other foals at East Lodge Farm. Brendan was backed and broken at East Lodge and lots of the staff have played a part in his early education. He is incredibly sweet natured and is an asset to the riding school.
Tack:

Thick sheepskin or Polypad numnah. |

Cracker Jack

D.O.B. 2004
Cracker is a newcomer to East Lodge Farm, who arrived at the end of summer 09. He is a very well mannered horse who’s eager to please and is finding his new surroundings exciting.
